A super quality low-back Windsor chair C.1840. Beautifully figured Elm seat with bowed Yew wood top and back rails with rolled arms. A fret carved central splat in Burr Yew, flanked by Yew wood spindles - a sign of the finest quality. Nicely turned legs united by a crinoline stretcher also in Yew wood. In lovely order with beautiful patination.
